This piece was created for the 2011 ACAD Graduating Students Show. Titled Ollie's Redemption the piece romanticizes the idea of the trapper who lived on my friends land out in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains up until the mid 1970's.
His cabin still remains standing with a strong exterior appeal, surprising after remaining neglected through the harsh weather since his leaving.
Printed on semi-matte photo paper at 27.5" x 13.5" and mounted to 3mm DiBond with Museum Glass, taped at the edges to create one stable piece.
The frame was milled from rough-cut red cedar, with a bevelled cut to fit the print and glass securely together. The final piece fits to 30" x 15".
